Where Candlelight Meets Culinary Art

Step through the red-trimmed door of our ivy-draped building on India Street and find yourself transported. Massed flowers greet you on an antique baker's rack. Tables glow softly, lit only by candles. Through the open Heston kitchen, you can watch Chef Joseph Keller and his brigade at work — a quiet, intimate theater of cooking that changes every night.

This is a Parisian bistro on Nantucket — unhurried, personal, and entirely devoted to the pleasure of a perfect evening. Every detail, from hand-pressed linens to locally-sourced ingredients, reflects a half-century of culinary passion.

Chef Joseph Keller began his culinary journey at the age of twelve, training under Gustanzo Pucillo at the acclaimed Petite Marmite in Palm Beach. He went on to lead kitchens at the Club Car, Cliffside Beach Club, and the Woodbox Inn before co-founding The French Laundry with his brother Thomas in Yountville, California — one of America's most celebrated restaurants.

After opening Bouchon in Napa and subsequent ventures in Las Vegas, Chef Keller returned to what he loves most: intimate, deeply personal cooking for a small number of guests each evening here on Nantucket.

Reservation Policies

  • A valid credit card is required to hold your reservation
  • Parties of 6 or more: $100 per person deposit required
  • Cancellations within 48 hours: $100 per person fee applies
  • No-shows are charged the full cost of the evening's menu
  • The Chef's Table on our private outdoor patio is available for special occasions
  • Outdoor parties may be relocated indoors in inclement weather
